Newspaper on E-book Device :: 2008/04/18 13:40
ChosunIlbo, a newspaper company launched "ireader E" which is a newspaper service on e-book device. If a user has a e-book device (NUUT), the user can read the newspaper on the device through connecting the device to laptop and downloading articles by internet.
I am not sure how many users buy the e-book device for the newspaper service. How to download newspaper in the e-book device is not yet convenient. I think that the e-book device must have a built-in wireless modem chipset like Wi-Fi and WiBro for expansion of the service and the device. If a user have to connect the e-book device to laptop everyday, no one would not use the service.

In US, Amazone Kindle device which has a EV-DO modem were sold out whithin 5 hours after the first release. The Kindle showed the potentiality of e-book device expansion. I expect that a new e-book device having a embedded wireless modem would appear soon in Korea.
